The circular trail is around 15 km long and begins and ends in the center of Boos at the youth center. Hikers will also find an information board about the "Stumpfarmweg" here. The information pillars with chronological information along the trail are set up accordingly. The hat brim as a logo and trail marker indicates the direction of the trail.

From the youth center, the trail leads up to the Boos Eiffel Tower (currently closed). And then back down towards Booser Maar and along the small river Nitz to Brücktal. Past the Brücker Mühle mill to the Reimerather border and further along the Reimeratherweg trail into the Boos state forest "Etscheid", the main hunting ground of the Stumpfarm. The body of Lorenz Reuter was found here with the head of Nikolaus Schüller, which is why this district is still popularly known as the "Dead Man". If you look to the south, you can see the district of Sickerath. The stump arm had found shelter there.

From the "Dead Man", the trail continues into the Mannebacher Wiesental valley and then down the valley to the Franzermühle mill. From here, the Stumpfarm set off on its hunting expeditions.

After passing the Watzengraben, the trail continues uphill towards Boos. Following the main path, the Stump Arm Trail leads to Booser Kehrstraße, past the kindergarten and through the leisure area to the starting point.

The Stumpfarmweg crosses the 4 districts of Boos, Kirsbach, Brücktal and Arbach.
